I'm living in No Land with little To. He is a contrarian. He says no even when he means yes, just to say no. He also has picked up some fabulous phrases from his school friends. Things like, "No, I do' wan' to." and "No way!" and "Nu-uh." and "No, just be-tuz (because)."

I don't remember No Land with Bugga. It isn't that he wasn't occasionally difficult (he was. and is.) but he has always been pretty easy to persuade. To is much more strong willed. If he doesn't want to go potty, he's not going to go potty. No incentive or begging is going to do it. I feel like I need a wider repertoire of persuasive strategies suited for toddlers. Mostly I just rely on tricking him into stuff.

Heh. It just occurred to me that he's LIKE ME. I hate when people tell me what to do.
