Ended up hooking up with my former student for coffee and I'm SO glad that I did. I've missed her and it was so nice to spend time chatting with her about her life and some really exciting but scary choices in her future. And frankly, it was nice to spend time with that other version of myself. The one who is thoughtful and articulate and makes a real contribution to the conversation?
I need to get out more.
